Roadrunners in Albuquerque, NM

The Roadrunner is New Mexico’s state bird, and they are fun to spot and photograph. If you look, you will probably see at least one in March.

Though roadrunners can fly, they usually run with short little hops of flight.
Roadrunners don’t beep-beep like in the cartoons, but sound more like doves with a coo.
